[Phenomena] Pattern Sickness[edit]

Anyone exposed to the Pattern must make a Smarts roll. On a SUCCESS, they suffer a level of Pattern Sickness. Understanding the pattern is what allows it to infect you, and the less intelligent you are the more resistant you are.

Wild Cards may choose not to roll their Wild Die when making this roll. Those who are aware of the Pattern’s effects can choose to become Distracted before making this roll. Infected Extras automatically move through the below stages, while Wild Cards only go up a single stage every time they succeed on a Pattern Exposure roll.
