Chinatown – North of the Velvet District, Chinatown includes Beijing Park, which includes a copy of the Opera House from the Forbidden City. Chinese operas are performed there in the summer. There is also a large Japanese Garden and one of the most beautiful Buddhist Temples in the States.
Velvet District – Just North of the Docks in the Warehouse District, this is one of the seedier parts of town. It is full of strip clubs, bars, and a couple of brothels. The past three mayors have sworn to clean it up, but no one has succeeded so far.
Devil's Playground If you think the Velvet District is bad, you haven't been to the Playground. North of Chinatown, the railroad tracks run right through the middle of the neighborhood. No one has even talked about trying to clean up the DP.
