Appearance
A young woman of 18; pretty if not beautiful, with dark hair and dark tan skin. She usually wears embroidered robes and minimal jewelry. A silver circlet with a blue gem marks her status as a matriarch-in-waiting.
History
Mirrinae is a princess of the people of the archipelago, born and groomed to become the Matriarch of one of the city-states currently without divine rulership (those cities without matriarchs are ruled by a council of representatives from the various castes). She has lived a sheltered life in many ways as the Matriarchs are considered to possess divine mandate of rulership. She was raised in her mother's temple-palace, attended at all times by various servants who catered to her whims. She learned of statecraft by sitting at her mother's side and learned theory from various tutors. She has spent most of the last month in solitary contemplation and various preparations for the rite of ascension to take her place as a ruler.
