One of the interesting Campaign games that can be run in New Space is the Freelancer Campaign; better known as the Han Solo-type campaign. This is a list of suggested commodities in the game. There is a note on which is legal, retricted, illegal, or perishable.

Legal - There are no restrictions whatsoever on purchasing or carrying the commodity. Embargoes might still be enforced, though.

Restricted - While the commodity is not illegal to possess, carrying it is subjected to certain regulations. Check this article's annotations section for further information.

Illegal - The commodity is considered Contraband by House laws. Smuggling them can be quite profitable, but comes with certain risks: should lawful forces scan you, they will (usually) seize your cargo and, in some cases, administer additional punishment ranging from credit fines to death.

Perishable - Items listed as Perishable degrade over time. If you are carrying these items you will notice a slowly decreasing bar under the icon. This shows the spoilage of one unit of cargo. When the bar reaches zero one unit will be deducted from your cargo and the bar will fill again for the next unit of cargo. During a normal run (For example New London to Denver or Kurile to Cambridge) you can expect to lose about 10 units of cargo depending on trade lane disruptions and your docking quickness. The number lost is not based on your cargo size. Losing 10 cargo out of 80 might not be worth it, but losing 10 out of 5000 is negligible.
