The Director will build and maintain partnerships with independent research facilities throughout the world, coordinate the schedules and research work of a varied staff with those partners and report to the Executive Director and Director of Programs on research progress. The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree in some physical science, an understanding of several others and a minimum of two years experience in research administration. The Director of Physical Science Research is responsible for building and maintaining research partnerships in her specialty areas with independent facilities throughout the world.  Through the files maintained by the Director of Programs' office, she matchs consultants with partners most fitting to their particular skills and coordinate their schedules and work efforts for maximum efficiency.  She is responsible for supervising those efforts through contact and, where possible, on-site visitations and ensuring that the research is in line with the Foundation's mission.  As research gives way to patents, she is responsible for coordinating patent filing, manufacturing and payment information with the offices of the Senior Counsel and Director of Finance.  Finally, she must report on research and patent progress to the Director of Programs.

Director of Physical Science Research
The Director of Physical Science Research is responsible for building and maintaining research partnerships in her specialty areas with independent facilities throughout the world. Through the files maintained by the Director of Programs' office, she matchs consultants with partners most fitting to their particular skills and coordinate their schedules and work efforts for maximum efficiency. She is responsible for supervising those efforts through contact and, where possible, on-site visitations and ensuring that the research is in line with the Foundation's mission. As research gives way to patents, she is responsible for coordinating patent filing, manufacturing and payment information with the offices of the Senior Counsel and Director of Finance. Finally, she must report on research and patent progress to the Director of Programs.
