Development Assistants are responsible for supporting Foundation's fundraising work.  This includes performing research into available grants and writing grant proposals, preparing mailings and phone lists for the annual fund (as well as making many of the calls), aiding with targetted giving and planning and executing the Foundation's several annual development events.  Their work is immediately overseen by the Director of Development.
The Assistant for Government Consultation aids with half of her Director's portfolio.  She is the first point of contact for governments, both foreign and domestic, looking to contract the Foundation for work or research or as experts to give advice on Survivor-related topics.  This includes both reactive and pro-active work; she is responsible not only for responding to requests but also for seeking out information on potential contracts and writes contract bids in either case.  She must maintain a working knowledge of the Foundation's consultants' abilities and schedules in order to match them with best-fit situations, and must maintain contact with them while their work is ongoing.
