==General== A house of some political influence, moderate military strength and very lucrative land holdings.

==Economy== Markae has relatively small land holdings but quite a few holdings are oases or water rich areas. Quite a bit of the wood in Tyr comes from Markae (or associated merchants).

==Military== Markae does not have much in the way of heavy infantry or anything in the way of cavalry. But they DO have a large amount of archers. A good section of the Army Of Tyr's archery compnent is supplied by Markae.

==Political== Markae has a habit of being in the wrong place at the wrong time in terms of political matches etc. Recently one of their most eligible bachelors died when his bed burned with him in it.

==Known Goals== Cornering the lumber market (easier said than done). Revenge on house Erinyes for the loss of their bachelor.

Now the house's most eligible bachelor, with the death of his brother Reacar, this young man is a quite promising prospect. His tutors account him quite intelligent, a veritable prodigy in the Way, and generally well-favored. He is, if anything, more comely than his late brother, and having grown up as a second son has given him rather more humility and honest self-appraisal. Were it not for his youth, being but fourteen years of age, the maidens of Tyr's upper crust would no doubt take a keener interest. It is to his credit that despite this, he is still among the finest flower of the city's nobility; in a few years' time, grown into maturity and the full bloom of his potential, he should be quite formidable.
