Hello everyone,
My name is Aelaris, and I am also known as "Nil Athelion" throughout other parts of the internet. I primarily identify as a writer and a strategist. I write stories, and I enjoy strategy games. I also enjoy Role-playing games, primarily pen-and-pencil ones, though I have not had the chance to play an awful lot.
I also enjoy designing games, though I have a dangerous inclination towards simulation and complexity - often at the expense of simplicity and fun. I am currently working on two RPG systems: one being Pit Fighter, an attempt to realistically simulate combat between those fragile things called humans. The other is a variant on a 4E variant, which is significantly more gamist.
While I like playing RPGs, I don't know many people in my area who play them (I moved recently), so I've been more focused on my current writing and game design.
