Tek is Tindy Lou's shoggoth. It fell out of the Far Realm with her, and now performs simple shipboard tasks.
A shoggoth is an amorphous mass created by Far Realm entities to be a slave. It is capable of learning simple tasks. A shoggoth constantly forms and dissolves eyes, mouths and appendages wherever needed.
