An orphan growing up on the streets of Băo Jiāng, the young Wu Xian Yi became the adopted protégé of legendary courtesan Lady Mei, after the latter heard her singing to herself in the alleyway behind Mei's house. Mei taught the girl about art, poetry and literature, and encouraged her to study the classics. She taught her how to be charming, witty and insightful and, as she grew into a beautiful young woman, Mei also taught her how to exploit her gifts to ensure that others would always be happy to help her maintain a good quality of living.
Water Fairy has already attracted a few notable admirers, including the notorious thief Fiery Forest Fox who, knowing her fondness for books, gave her a stolen Storm Phoenix Form manual as a gift. The young courtesan was immediately fascinated by the contents of this tome and began to study the style. She proved to be a fast learner, mastering a few basic techniques in a relatively short space of time.
Water Fairy is an old romantic at heart and she cannot resist getting involved in other people's problems. Hence she was only too happy to allow Song Bao Lung and Xue Lin to rendezvous secretly at her house.
Lady Mei recently passed away, bequeathing the famous Five Blessings robe to her beloved 'daughter'. The workmanship on this robe is superb and there are many who would covet such a thing of beauty.
