General
Halfling communities tend to promote a fairly oligarchic Mayor position of indeterminate but usually lengthy terms in office, otherwise they tend to be quite happy to fall under human political structures, as long as the Bigguns don't come around too often. Lightfoots and Stouts communities have little regard for each other.
Variations
The halflings who live in swamp communities in the southern half of the valley are Lightfoots.
The rustic, pastoral halflings who live along the banks of the Sasserine River throughout the valley are Stouts.
