The Fel have left the world, departing the mortal realm, leaving it to those still willing to fight over it. Giants, dragons, orcs, dwarves, goblins, and countless nameless things that crawled upon and within the earth - they have all gone away. The Fae remain. They remember when the world was theirs, before Men began to draw iron from the earth, gaining the power to stand against them.
Now the Fae wage war on the tribes of Men, subverting figures of import and tearing down strongholds, while kings trust to armies and iron. But iron and sinew is not sufficient to stand against the ageless cunning of the Fae.
Yet deep in the Wildwood, on the border of the Feywild, an unlikely redoubt remains.
In kinder days, the Hunter's Guild was a place of study, where those with the talent to shape dweomer mastered the weft and weave of magic. Now it was a crucible, where those who would defend the mortal realm against the incursion of the Fae learn to fight a hopeless and endless battle.
Into this crucible, the masters have summoned champions from another world to tip the scales, champions foretold who would save or damn the world.
