Fae
Fae are inherently magical beings, masters of glamour (illusion) and enchantments and the second sight with some small skill in performing knacks and lesser conjurations. Some Fae are rumored to be able to magically heal wounds in mortals.
Guild Arcanists
Not being inherently magical, mortals must learn to tap into forces the Fae touch as easy as breathing.
The lowest mortals with an affinity for magic - apprentices - quickly master conjuration and knacks. As journeymen, they begin to learn enchantment and glamour at considerable personal cost. Masters learn how to cheat those costs.
Boneweaving, gatewalking, and second sight lie beyond the Guild's ability to teach.
Hexen
Some claim the Hexen have some small trace of Fae blood in their ancestry. It is true that they fail miserably at any attempt to learn by guild teaching and that they are uniquely vulnerable to Fae influence before they have gained basic mastery of the magic within.
It is also true that they are attuned to forms guild arcanists can't master.
Priests
Abjuration is the province of the church. Hexen gatewalkers are also adept at it, but it is illegal for those outside the holy brotherhood to practice.
Ur Magic
Mastering - even studying - Necromancy is collectively forbidden by church, crown, and guild alike with penalties including forfeiture, prison, exile, death, and excommunication according to the severity o the offence.
