Tobias hails from a secluded halfling settlement called Thistlebend, nestled along the Fogmere River in the foothills of the Stormshade Mountains, deep in the East where most maps end. The folk here live among towering mossy oaks, and their homes are not just holes in the ground — but also root-burrows, hill-nests, and even arboreal huts hidden in old-growth trees.
Unlike many of his kin, Tobias has always been restless, his curiosity outweighing his caution. From a young age, he wandered further than he should’ve—once spending three days in the Weeping Glade and coming back with a fox bite, a pouch of silver mushrooms, and a cryptic riddle he never solved.
