The divine favor merit marks the characters as favored by one of the 12 gods (or one of the two for the dualists). This gives the following benefits.
- Allows the character to carry a holy symbol of their God. The Gods have little love for false prophets and have been known to take revenge.
- Allows others with Divine Favor of the same god recognize your characters as being favored by the same god.
- The Gods also bestow gifts of power on those they favor. There are a number of Divine merits which require having Divine Favor first.
