Miranda Stephens

Background

Miranda grew up in a crowded apartment, one of the eight kids of a single mother. Her mother, who had escaped an abusive household, did all she could for her children, and eventually she managed to get a proper education for herself and move to a better neighbourhood, one with actually greenery, a bit of wilderness.

It was here that Miranda finally was able to escape the crowded conditions at home: and it was here that her talents were revealed. For, when she was in her mid teens, she was one of the searchers who went out looking for an abducted child. And it was she who tracked that child down and alerted the authorities. Since then, in experimentation and in hunting trips with her new stepfather (a good man and a million times better than her biological father) she has discovered that she is a natural hunter. And, lately, she has discovered that she is something more than that.
