Sweet Jasmine grew up in a small tribal village in the North East of Creation; a small place, in the bow of a small river, a place where many trees grew, but yet not to the size of those in the Great Forest; where snow fell thick and heavy in winter, yet the ground didn't freeze all year around. A place not far from the eternal cold, yet far enough that summer's warmth flushed the meadows with flowers and honey bees.

For some time, peace reigned: a good-natured Wood Aspect Dragon-Blooded hermit had chosen to take up residence in the woods nearby, for reasons he never chose to disclose; perhaps he had been exiled for
