The Hopewell Foundation is looking for a motivated person with a demonstrated interest in public welfare and human rights and a BA/BS in Political Science, Government, Public Affairs or similar to serve as an Advocacy Assistant. The Assistant will undertake research on legal matters of national and international concern, compile reports on human rights policy and, with the Director of Survivor Advocacy, meet with members of local and national government to present the Hopewell Foundation's case. Strong analytical, writing and computer skills required, as is the ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and statistical packages like SAS, SPSS, or Stata required; ability to manipulate and analyze very large datasets required. Salary: low 30's | EOE M/F/H/V

Assistant for Survivor Support
The Assistant for Survivor Support aids with half of her Director's dual portfolio. She is the staffer most directly responsible for the needs of the Foundation's Survivor clients, the go-to girl for Survivors with problems. She is responsible for thinking up and implementing creative approaches to solving unpredictable problems. She follows up on insurance claims, assists with job searches, maintains contact with Genzyme and other out-of-house support structures and writes and mails a monthly newsletter about Survivor-related concerns and opportunities.
