It's the early 1960's, Basically the first big, public superhero event of the current generation was in 1961. Superman prevented the spacecraft of the soon-to-be Fantastic Four from crashing into Metopolis in the aftermath of their disastrous mission into space. The group discovered their new powers and after a brief rampage by a distraught Thing, who was restrained by Superman and the others until he could regain his wits, they decided to join together to form the Fantastic Four. Superman was extended an invitation, but declined it, though he is a staunch ally of the FF. Superman had been active before this, but he had never before acted so overtly. Similarly there had been rumors of a caped crusader with a bat motif in Gotham. Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman are indeed "Silver Age" heroes, though I'm considering having there had been previous incarnations during the "Golden Age." There were heroes during the Golden Age, the JSA and Invaders, etc.

After that other heroes started showing up and the Justice League and Avengers were formed. Shortly after the formation of the Avengers they and the Justice League they had the classic misunderstanding and fight, revolving around the Hulk. This was the catalyst for the Hulk leaving the team and even though the two teams put aside they're differences, they still don't see eye-to-eye. While the members of the Justice League certainly have they're problems, they see the Avengers as being unstable and to some degree self-centered. They're likely to let they're own feelings and personal issues get in the way of what needs to be done. Furthermore, the League holds themselves to, perhaps, a slightly higher moral standard, though neither group kills they're enemies. The brawl was several weeks ago, and the Avengers have subsequently found Captain America.

=The Setting=

The game is setting is Washington DC and starts on the morning of December 7, 1941.

The US is just entering the war.

For now, the characters know each other, and some may have worked together, but the team has not been assembled and is nameless.

The current adventure is the "Prequel."

We try to make the Washington DC of the game as close to historic accurate as possible.

DC comic references are of course encouraged. And villians are to come from DC canon.

The more obscure the reference the better!
