Jabu is quiet for a gnome. His customers bore him and he doesn't like to talk to them. Only interaction he has with them is when they ask him to pick a drink for them. He has a knack with choosing the perfect drink for each patron. He spends his days either siting at the bar of his establishment with a drink in his hand with a contemplating look on his face, or brewing all sorts of ales, mead and wines in what he calls "his laboratory". He makes a point of not doing or caring for anything else. A master brewer, Jabu sells only what he brews himself.

Jabu's tavern is as well known for having the best drinks and worst service in [[Shaema]]. The building it self is an over sized shack. Dirty and rickety, rotting and wet, with one moldy wall hanging by a few nails and occasionally falling off. There are always a few local patrons willing to help put the wall back, and thus get on Sonia and Leifa's good side.
Sonia and Leifa are bar maids in Jabu's employ. Sonia is a Shaema human with characteristic dark hair and brown skin. Leifa is an elf, a head shorter than Sonia, with red hair and tan skin. Despite these obvious differences locals refer to them as sisters. Their attitudes are the same. Both have permanent scowls and little patience for both their uncaring boss or their rowdy customers.
