This film, the third of the "War Time Era" productions, marks a first in the Alani series as it features a recurring villain. In the movie the island heroine Alani faces off against the mad Dr Reich (originally seen in ''Alani and the Silver Skull'') who has returned to Alani's Lost Islands and is using a subterranean drilling machine in order to harness the power of volcanism as an unstoppable weapon against Alani and the Allied Forces.
