Knight Captain Vinland - In charge of the Knights of Purity who arrived at Grellhold. Leader, mentor, and exemplary crusader for the Knights of Purity, Krast cannot fathom anyone less willing to leave the villagers to their fate at the hands of the darkfiends. He remembers seeing the Captain at the head of a charge, watching his signature greatsword cleaving their foes apart...but just what might have happened to turn the tide of battle against them, or the fate of the superior warrior, are a mystery to him.


Kerowyn - An outsider just recently jailed for a minor offense. Rumors and gossip lead to an understanding that the waifish young woman was actually a user of the arcane with an inclination towards flame. Paranoia and mistrust, coupled with the darkfiend concerns, did little to help her case. At first intending to examine the girl and assess her talents for the priesthood, she may now be a powerful ally against the chaos if she managed to survive.
