The Ascalon Club used to be both the Order and the Spiral's greatest rivals before the Night of Ashes. They are extremely involved in the mortal realm, especially at the political and material levels. They consider themselves the elite of the elite in Edinburgh, but truly are a meritocracy in the fact that they even invite and 'groom' politically powerful and/or well-connected and wealthy mortals for potential immortality.
