Michael Kilpatrick :: Trick
The Barrow Kings. Great warlords, buried in their earthen mounds, surrounded by weapons and armor and wealth and horses.
And servants.
I was the Trickster of such a king. His highest adviser. My job in life was to never agree with him. And when he died my lot was to be wrapped alive in skins, sealed in stone, and buried beneath him.
Long before the druids walked the isle, their spiritual ancestors made pacts with the primal shadows, with mist, and stone, and darkness.
In their darkest dreams I'll bet they never conceived that their focus and blood sacrifices would reach down and preserve life in their forgotten guardian. Or that any power might shatter their careful wards so that that life could break free.
It would seem I have the Rikti to thank for that, but it turns out I'm an ungrateful bastard where they're concerned. I am human. I served a human master. Human hands made me what I became. Human blood preserved my life outside of time. I am bound to the tribes of man in so many ways. I have little choice but to stand with them. And little inclination to do otherwise, truth be told.
For good or ill, they are my people.

Trick does pretty well on his own, is at his most awkward when paired with another individual, and truly shines as a single moving part in the intricate interplay of a team.
