Player character in the Dragon's Wake PbP game.
Ashton Eldridge, The Night Haunt
A private investigator and masked crimefighter who gained incredible powers as an unintended consequence of a super secret military experiment. He has been active as a hero since the mid-1930s, nominally based in New York but traveling where ever his day job or nighttime activities take him.
As the Night Haunt he wears a featureless mask, double-breasted vest and slacks and a huge shroud-like cape and cowl, all in pale ghostly grey. He's operating under his masked persona full time while with the army, because his civilian identity was honorably discharged with a somewhat cushy pension and an unwritten but extremely strict Non-Disclosure Agreement about the experiment, and if the government found out who he is and where his powers came from he's not entirely sure whether they'd sooner incarcerate or vivisect him...
