Background

Nobody needs to be told that Indigo Black is in a band. He carries himself with the mix amount of confidence and attitude associated with lead singers. It's been that way for as long as he can remember.

Indigo has drifted through life, gigging with whoever will have him and using his charms to make sure he's always got a roof over his head and food to eat. He's got a small one-bed apartment in the rougher side of town, which he pays for mainly by being a handyman for the landlady (although he knows next to nothing about DIY). His parents and sister are back in L.A., no doubt disapproving of his lifestyle, but that doesn't bother him too much.

He started with this current band a while back. He found their sound interesting, listened to them jam a few times and then joined in. When he's on stage, he picks one or two people in the crowd and sings to them and them alone: it's their personal performance.

A few months ago, he did this to an older woman. She stood out from the usual crowd, not just because of her age, but because she watched him with the same intensity he watched her. After the show, she came back stage and, as they got hot and heavy, asked if he would like to sing forever. Her face became monstrous, but Indigo held it together enough to convince her that living forever would ruin him - things aren't beautiful because they last. Shaken, the vampire prepared to just kill him, but he promised her that if she let him live, any time she came to listen to him, he would sing only for her. The vampire considered his proposal, agreed, and left. She's been back a few times, and Indigo has kept his word each night.

Indigo tends to favour long-sleeved tops with obscure movie references on them, a pair of faded jeans and biker boots. He carries a pack of cigarettes and a lighter, but doesn't smoke - it's all about the appearance. His eyes are intense, but not in a creepy way - people find they want to keep eye contact with him as long as possible.
