Afkir was originally a Fief in the Kingdom of Rocara. The Fief holder was Sir Hamilton op Oberon.  Over the course of centuries the kingdoms of Carardala feuded among each other.   
Afkir was originally a Fief in the Kingdom of Rocara. The Fief holder was Sir Hamilton op Oberon.  Over the course of centuries the kingdoms of Carardala feuded among each other.  It hosted a mighty institution of military learning featuring horsemanship.
 
When the Black Road War between Chaos and Amber occurred a stretch of the Black Road passed through rich regions of Carardala and 200 years of warfare ensued.  The kingdoms allied, forgot old animosities and eventually formed the Empire of Carardala and Emperor Hamilton led it.
 
But the war devastated the shadow.
 
Sir Hamilton op Oberon, aka Prince Hamilton of Amber, has always had a close working relationship.  Many of the operatives that serve Amber's clandestine services recieve training here.
