Born to a British father and a Russian mother Aleksei is fluent in both languages and has worked on ships in the North Sea his entire career, which made him a natural choice of intterpreter for the expedition.
In his mid 20s, Aleksei is lithe and athletic in build, with a shoulder length blonde hair and a stubble of beard.
