Human Engel Pilot

Fresh out of ESI surgery, Reynold (known to his friends as Ray) is a quiet, taciturn man who got his experience as a Saber pilot. This led to his assignment to the Project, where he was bonded to Ramiel, his Auphan. He insisted, as soon as he saw the normal colour scheme, that Ramiel be painted in full camouflage; if he's going to be up front, he wants every bit of help he can get. He normally backs up the intergrated weapons systems with a hand-held Charge Beam, to make sure that he can use the enhanced senses of the Engel to engage at ranges beyond what the enemy can retaliate from.

He is married, with a one-year old child, to a Nazzadi arcane Engineer, Salicy, who has a fairly high clearance in the Ashcroft Foundation. She didn't really approve of his becoming an Engel pilot, in part because she knows what the creatures are like under the shell, as well as the whole "pilot goes insane" issue. He tends to, as a result, be cautious and steady while on the battlefield, and doesn't really approve of the tendency for some Engel pilots to hit before he feels that they have enough information.
