Background
Geoffri Ringeye is from Duck Ferry in Sartar. His mother was the Deathdrake Magdalene, his father Godfrey Ringeye the Healer. Geoffri learned from them both, but when the ducks were blamed for Starbrow's Rebellion, there was a series of pogroms and Geoffri lost his father, and the family lost its home. His mother perished soon after. But before they died they transferred their quest to Geoffri. Antonius Ringeye had been a famous Rune Priest, and it was only during his time that the Ringeye clan had possession of all their ancestral heirlooms. Since then they have been scattered to the winds, and Geoffri wishes to gather them together once again. To do so will summon the furthest-flung of the Ringeye descendants, and the artifacts can work together to accomplish great things. Since the ducks have lost their homes, Geoffri believes it to be his fate to recover the heirlooms, and use them to allow the ducks to return to the lives promised them by old Sartar. He knows little enough, but he has clues here and there in the volume titled “Ducktales,” which he carries with him on his journey. He is only willing to discuss his quest with those scholars whom he trusts, and they are few indeed.
