Long before the druids walked the isle, their spiritual ancestors built their rings of stone. They carved my likeness from that same stone. And then they buried me. A mute guardian in the heart of their sacred circle.
In their darkest dreams I'll bet they never conceived that the focus of that circle and its sacrifices of blood would, over time, instill life in their forgotten guardian. Or that the circle would ever weaken enough that that life could break free.
It would seem I have the Rikti to thank for that, but it turns out I'm an ungrateful bastard. Human hands made me. Human blood gave me life. I am bound to the tribes of man in so many ways. I have little choice but to stand with them. And little inclination to do otherwise, truth be told.
For good or ill, they are my people.

Trick does pretty well on his own, is at his most awkward when paired with another individual, and truly shines as a single moving part in the intricate interplay of a team.

- SFX: Second Chance - Spend 1 PP to reroll when using any Son of Shadow power.
- SFX: Unleashed - Step up or double any Son of Shadow power for one action. If the action fails, add a die to doom pool equal to the normal rating of your power die.
Limit: Conscious Activation - While stressed out, asleep, or unconscious, shutdown Son of Shadow. Recover Son of Shadow when you recover that stress or wake up.
Limit: Exhausted - Shutdown any Son of Shadow power and gain 1 PP. Recover power by activating an opportunity or during a Transition Scene.

- SFX: Immunity - Spend 1 PP to ignore stress, trauma, or complications from physical blows.
- SFX: Berserk - Add a die from the doom pool to one or more attack actions. Step up the doom pool die by +1 for each action; return it to the doom pool when you’re done.
- SFX: Versatile - Split Fists of Stone into two dice at –1 step, or three dice at –2 steps.
Limit: Gear - Shutdown Staff of Souls and gain 1 PP. Take an action vs. the doom pool to recover.

Backstory
Trick doesn't know if he's a time tossed wandering immortal, a disinherited demigod, the forgotten Trickster of some long dead culture, or just a garden variety madman with superpowers. In his rare moments of passing clarity he believes he can trace his existence to pre-Christian Ireland or Britain, but suspects he was old even then.
He hasn't given up hope that one day he will remember more. After all, he's only been sane for a handful of decades.
For now he helps H.U.N.T.E.R., partially as a means of not slipping back into madness, but mostly because working with them gives him certain access to global resources only they possess. Resources that might contain answers otherwise lost to time.
