- Max - Max is a shaggy brown mutt Similar in size to a Labrador but leaner and more square jawed. Max spends most of his days sleeping on the floor of the barber shop, and his nights roaming the streets of Boston.
Background
Fletcher is an old alumni of the New Old Way Home, and in turn he returned to work there as an adult as a volunteer handyman of sorts when he wasn't in his shop cutting hair. Wasn't much Fletch couldn't do to one degree of competence or another, and he made himself useful.
He cooked, he cleaned, and he patched up kids and equipment with equal aplomb.
He was always kind to the kids, listening to them like they were adults, bringing them rock candy he made at home, and generally offering encouragement - and sometimes work here and there when he had it.
Fletcher has always been the curious sort, always busy, always learning new things.
Not all of his hobbies are strictly legal, but on the surface he tries to stay clean and foster a reputation that is above suspicion.
