The Akiyama (Autumn Mountain) is an Athens Class Light Support Vessel and fourth generation slipship, capable of tagging even significant asteroids and Kupier objects from the Weft with a skilled enough flight crew.
Designed specifically for Rescue and Retrieval missions, the Akiyama is a true workhorse. She began her career as a dedicated corporate vessel, but corporations being corporations, with the most financially successful ones keeping up with the newest and shiniest machines, she was soon sold as obsolete.
The Akiyama passed through many hands after that, both corporate and private, before her current crew obtained her ident registry.
Now they take outsourced private and corporate Rescue and Retrieval jobs across the solar system, supplementing their income with legal salvage and similar activities between jobs.
