Can't Swim - Mandatory - Kai is fairly lean and dense and floats in much the same way a rock doesn't.
Mild Mannered - Minor - A trained fighter wouldn't mistake Kai for anything other than the same, but the average jane just can't get past his cute monkey face and swishing tail. Folk typically just think him harmless.
Quirk - Minor - Kai's habit of climbing all the things and sometimes running on all fours gets him noticed.
Tongue Tied - Major - Kai doesn't fully understand social cues in verbal communications, often overcompensating by adding professional or social titles to people's names that may or may not be accurate.

Bio
Kai didn't remember a time when he wasn't as he was. His parents had both been human, but he most decidedly was not. The skin of his hands and face was black, but everywhere else he was covered in red and orange fur. Including his tail - a feature neither of his parents possessed.
Nevertheless, Kai thrived in his desert world, his lean frame adept and adaptable, his fur offering protection from both cold nights and and the abrasive lash of the sands in a storm.
But it was when his mind awoke to the world around him that he really grew into his potential. The desert came to life with a thousand thoughts and his body and aura began to interact with the world around him.
