Just Plain Weird
A character realizes that the spelling of a particular word has changed permanently. He knows that he's spelling it correctly, but everybody else spells it the new way. No one even recognizes the old spelling. Even the dictionaries confirm the new spelling, with no mention of the old. — Darren MacLennan
