Basics

Each race is connected to one of the eight Stars, and can utilize the magic associated with that Star. ex: Dragons are associated with the Red star, and can use magic regarding fire.

Dragons

Associated Star

Red, the Star of the Sun

Appearence

Red-haired with horns, wings, and tail. Able to transform into a gigantic, winged, scaled reptilian being when Red Star magic was strong enough.

Current Leader

None

Culture

Dragons are hatched in humanoid form. They can achieve their true form with enough experience.

Gnolls

Associated Star

Orange, the Star of Animals

Appearence

Beastial folk with orange fur, claws, fangs, and tails. They came in a variety of shapes and sizes, but were all strong and tough.

Current Leader

Gaarsh Bonestrike

Culture

They clearly used less metal and were apparently nomad herders, and had large numbers of animals with them. Their cooking is simple.

Hotaro

Associated Star

Yellow, the Star of Lights

Appearence

Fairies about nine inches tall with insect wings and glowing with golden light. Invariably golden-haired.

Current Leader

Tinatel

Culture

They seemed to lack any organized society and to likewise not need it.

Elves

Associated Star

Green, the Star of Plants

Appearence

With pointed ears, green hair and eyes.

Current Leader

Princess Shalara

Culture

The Elves are a sizable group, and appeared to be a collection of farmers and warriors.

"It is commonly a slow, polite matter," said Shalara. "At least among the nobility. Meeting at a dance, gifts exchanged, poems written, songs sung... I feel that it is likely to change, however, under the circumstances of the times now."

Serafin

Associated Star

Blue, the Star of the Air

Appearence

Blue-haired and with angelic wings,

Current Leader

Hayashi-sensei. A knight named Azragel was in charge of their warriors.

Culture

They appeared to be part of a religious community, and had warriors and clergy of some kind with them. Many were healers of some kind. They view the holder of Blue Star as a holy figure.

Sirens

Associated Star

Indigo, the Star of Water

Appearence

all women, with an astonishing resemblance to one another. Their hair was normally indigo, but there was a high percentage of other colors among their number. They were all lightly dressed.

Current Leader

Arale

Culture

Not many Sirens survived when the seas were turned to poison, and their numbers were always few after the tragedy a century ago. Perhaps a dozen remain. Sirens don't need a male to be the father, but that's probably why they all look almost exactly alike. Not all of their relationships are entirely casual.

Goblins

Associated Star

Violet, the Star of Rock

Appearence

Shorter than the others, with violet hair and pale skin.

Current Leader

Chiel Chartagnan

Culture

They possessed exquisite metalwork and mining tools, as well as some crossbows and minor bits of clockwork.

Sorcerors

Associated Star

Black, the Star of the Soul

Appearence

Black hair and eyes, with pale skin, Sorcerors resemble humans closely, except for the horns on their head.

Current Leader

Formerly Empress Azyria

Culture

Unlike the horns of Dragons or some Gnolls, Sorcerors' horns are, in no small part, sensory organs. They use them to feel Souls around them, guide the energies through their bodies and extend them. It is an important part of their culture that using the Black Star drains the user's life force... but it can steal that energy from others to let the Sorceror heal.
