Tiffany was bought as a servant to a extremely wealthy upper-class couple with a prestine reputation. One reason their repuation was pristine wa sthier purchase of a Doll to satisfy thier odd appetites and proclivities.

When the couple decided it was appropriate to have a child, they purchased an artificial womb and programmed Tiffany with the required medical background. With the birth of the child, she functioned as the child's nanny, and began to learn what love means. When the child died at age two and the child 'parents' were unmoved, something literally snapped in Tiff. Aided by fellow automaton they went on the run, leavening the enclave, and eventually becoming pirates on board the TBA
