Matsu Hoketsaku

The Clan Champion and daimyo of the Matsu family, Hoketsaku is also the Emerald Champion. he is in his mid 30s and is a powerful and strong warrior as befits his status of leader of the Lion Clan. He has one son, his heir Matsu Nomoro, a 13 year old who has yet to undertake his gempukku.

Akodo Gintaku

The daimyo of the Akodo family, Gintaku is a fierce 35 year old who is known to be at odds with Miya Shikan, the architect of peace in Rokugan. He constantly rails against the policies of the Imperial Herald, suggesting that without any wars, the samurai of Rokugan will go soft and be unable to defend themselves from outside attack.

Akodo Soto

Akodo Gintaku's son and heir, Soto is an 18 year old prodigy, with several people suggesting he has a greater grasp of bushido than anyone twice his age. he is known to compose his own music for the biwa.

Ikoma Toroku

Daimyo of the Ikoma family, the 23 year old Toroku is in the process of taking over from his father, who will be retiring soon. He is known to be a close confidant of Akodo Gintaku, who he treats as a mentor.
