Soter - "A smart guy. Why he's trying so hard to prove himself to people whose opinions shouldn't matter, I'll never get. When I'm trying to come up with a plan or looking for ideas on a project, he's the first guy I go to. I hate letting him know when I'm in trouble, though. I always feel like he's judging me, even though he never says anything. Hey, one of us has to be on the look-out for opportunities, and sometimes that means taking chances. We get along a lot better when we keep the talk technical."
Nortia - "I get the feeling that the fellows don't understand her. I'm not sure I do either, but maybe I know her a little better. I know how beautiful the natural world can be, how you can see God's hand in it. Heck, I've crafted my own soul to better understand the power of the storm. We think alike in a lot of ways, and of all the cabal, I think she's the one I most enjoy sitting around, shooting the bull with. We do have our points of disagreement, though. Nothing in life is free, and the scales never balance, no matter what she thinks. I'll support her because she support me, but I'll also be looking to see she comes out the winner in her deals - whether she wants me to or not!"
Pendergast - "Now this is the guy I come to when I'm in trouble, and I admit I attract my fair share. I know what they say about the Guardians, and it's true that Pen can be a very scary guy... but never to me. This is a man who believes in loyalty, and he makes me believe in it too. I know he has my back, and I'll always have his, no matter what he needs. We make a good team, too. That said, we don't have a lot in common 'off-duty'. I try to be sociable, and it's just painful how much we have nothing to talk about. Eh, but that's okay. I like the big lug anyway."
Vampires - "These are people who, every night, go out and assualt people. Every night, they steal someone's blood. (sigh) Yeah, I get that they don't have any choice, but it seems like a horrible way to live. Maybe they'll live forever, but it's not much of a life. What can we do about them, though? They're people. We can't just kill them or something. So I'll deal with them. I'll sell them my gadgets and even some magic, if they pay enough. I'll even make small talk with them, since it's nice to talk with someone in the know. What I will never, ever, do is turn my back on one. They see people as food and I'm people, and there's no getting around that. And if one ever hurts one of my friends.... (crackle of fire) They'll have to sweep him off the floor."
Werewolves - "Well, uh, I don't really know much. The spirit mages say they're hugely important guardians of the spirit world or something. I wouldn't know; I've never even seen spirit. So I guess I'll treat them the same way they treat me, just like anybody else. I've actually sold a microphone to one a couple of times. Or at least their auras said they were werewolves. They acted just like people when they were around me."
