Dwarf
Description: Dwarves are short stocky demi-humans about four feet tall, with long beards. They come from the mountains to the north where the Dwarven Lord's halls exist. Dwarves who leave home are typically those who have no ability to advance inside the halls. They must go to the human lands to seek fame and power, before returning to claim their place amongst their kin. Dwarves naturally are very resilient, and especially to magic. As a result, they also cannot use magic themselves, though they can employ magic items.
Abilities: Dwarves have access to all armor and all small and normal sized weapons. They cannot use bows or two handed swords due to their size. Dwarves can see in complete dark with infravision that extend 60'. Dwarves are great miners and will naturally detect slanting passages, traps, shifting walls, and new construction 1/3 of the time. All dwarves speak Common, Dwarvish, Gnomish, Kobold, and Goblin.
Requirement: Dwarves must have a minimum of 9 Constitution.
Prime Requiste: Their prime requisite ability is Strength. Dwarves with a 13-15 Strength gain a +5% bonus to earned experience. Dwarves with a 16-18 Strength gain a +10% bonus to earned experience. Likewise, Dwarves with a 6-8 Strength suffer a -10% penalty to earned experience, and Dwarves with a 3-5 Strength suffer a -20% penalty to earned experience.
