System Breakdown[edit]

  • System Features: Gravity Tides
  • Star: White
  • Ownership: Unclaimed

Inner Cauldron[edit]

Radiation Bursts[edit]

Emitting deadly radiation bursts every thirteen hours and forty-two minutes (to the microsecond) that scour the entire inner cauldron, KEX-171-05 is a deadly, deadly star.

Dust Cloud[edit]

Heavily irradiated, it nonetheless serves to absorb much of the murderous emissions of the system's star.

Gravity Riptide[edit]

Woe unto any who get caught by this gravitational riptide, for they are assuredly going to be sucked through the dust cloud into the near-star area, where radiation bursts char the void.

Primary Biosphere[edit]

Asteroid Cluster (3 R)[edit]

The remains of at the very least two planets that were reduced to chunks of varying size. Still bearing a lot of resources, they are certainly worth the expense of remote-mining.

  • Ornamental: 94
  • Exotic: 95

Outer Reaches[edit]

Asteroid Cluster (2 R)[edit]

Another shattered planet's remains, though far less worthwhile than its cousin in the Primary Biosphere.

  • Industrial: 47
  • Radioactives: 34

Starship Graveyard[edit]

Six shattered vessels hang in the cold void here, another example of human defenders being obliterated by a vastly superior foe, judging by the lack of other vessels.

  • Archeotech: 216 (Ship components & cargo)

Gas Giant (KEX-171-05-Alpha)[edit]

An immense turquoise dot in space, KEX-171-05-Alpha holds the only habitable planetoids in its immense gravity well.

  • 1 Planetary Rings (Debris)
  • 2 Planetary Rings (Dust)
  • 5 Lesser Moons (4 MR)
    • Industrial: 37
    • Ornamental: 61
    • Radioactives: 38
  • 5 True Moons
    • KEX-171-05-Alpha-Primus (Large & Dense, High G, Thin Corrosive Atmosphere, Ice World, 2 Mineral Resources)

Though thin, Alpha-Primus' atmosphere is capable of eating through most materials not specially treated to resist the unyielding corrosive nature of the planet.

      • Industrial 51
      • Radioactives 75
    • KEX-171-05-Alpha-Secundus (Low Mass, Low Gravity, Moderate Tainted Atmosphere, Ice World, Trapped Water, 2 Mineral Resources)

Tiny, poor and frozen, Alpha-Secundus is the remains of a once much-larger planet. Caught by Alpha's gravity well, it now floats placidly in the void.

      • Ornamental 40
      • Exotic 40
    • KEX-171-05-Alpha-Tertius (Vast, Normal G, Moderate Pure Atmosphere, Cold World, Liquid Water, 5 MR, 1 AR)

A planet of vast forests, vast snowstorms and vast ursine-descendent predators, it nonetheless houses an ancient - and deadly - secret.

      • Industrial 96
      • Ornamental 103
      • Radioactives 57
      • Archeotech 84 (Encounter Site: Faulty Men of Iron Maintenance Facility. Danger: Guardians (Men of Iron), Cave-In)
    • KEX-171-05-Alpha-Quartus (Vast, Normal G, Moderate Pure Atmosphere, Cold World, Liquid Water, 9 MR, 4 AR)

Boasting enormous mineral wealth, a wide variety of useful animals and starkly beautiful subarctic mountain regions, Alpha-Quartus is another ideal target for colonization.

      • Industrial 66
      • Ornamental 197
      • Radioactive 50
      • Exotic 165
      • Archeotech 111 (Encounter Site: Damaged Men of Iron Fabrication Complex. Dangers: Guardians (Men of Iron), Crazed Automata, Automated Defenses.)
      • Organic Compound (Vivid Accessory) 66 - The hides of the parasitic Flatbear, when properly prepared, make for imposing (and valueable) cloaks.
    • KEX-171-05-Alpha-Quintus (Small, Low G, No Atmosphere, Ice World, 3 MR, 1 AR)

A tiny frozen rock whose only outstanding features are the considerable amounts of material wealtlh that might (theoretically) be extracted.

      • Industrial 78
      • Ornamental 79
      • Radioactive 115
