Bayushi Tomo: Distant cousin of Shoju and thus a member of the true nobility (Kuge). He is a stern man and skilled commander known for his Proud bearing.
Bayushi Kumiko: wife of the governor. An Energetic woman who seems to know everything.
Soshi Fuze: No one knows much of anything about him as he keeps to himself like most Soshi and shares his council only with the governor.
Shosuro Ichiro: Tomo's Chief Magistrate. Very personable but inquisitive. Proud, Suspicious.
Bayushi Joroken: Tomo's champion, a skilled duelist with many victories to his name. Cruel.
Bayushi Momoro: Called Momo. Captain of the castle guard. Temperate.
