Bruce Wayne/Professor X[edit]
Bruce Wayne was always a precocious child from a line of precocious children. His father Thomas Wayne was a brilliant surgeon and humanitarian, his grandfather Damian Wayne had been a powerful baron of industry who built the Wayne Enterprises to the juggernaut it is today. By age 7 Bruce was taking apart and rebuilding almost anything mechanical or electrical in the house for fun. Age 8 he won a boxing tournament for ages 12-16. Age 9 he invented an improvement to the transistors Wayne Industries was producing.
Age 10 the kidnappers came for him after school. Masked in ghoulish clown make-up they grabbed him and speed away before anyone could respond. Thomas and Martha got a ransom note the same day, and gathered up the money and the Gotham Police. The exchange went well but before they could leave one of the gang members made the cops and a shootout started. Bruce took a bullet in the spine and was paralyzed below the waist. Thomas tried and tried to help his son but even his prodigious talents were unable to fix him. Bruce was able to invent a number of workarounds such as a robotic exo-skeleton or turning his wheelchair into a vehicle capable of turning into a car, plane, or sub.
Bruce earns multiple PhDs in engineering, science and mathematics by the time he is 26 and heads up Wayne Industries R&D division, leading to a huge burst in growth for the company as they pick up multiple military contracts worldwide. A test demonstration in Poland in 89 went terribly wrong when rogue Soviet radicals attacked the group, Bruce managed to save many of the people there but his parents were killed. Then, Bruce realized weapons were not the way to achieve peace and liquidated the arms selling part of the business and used it to found a school on the spot where the attack happened.
Present Day, The Wayne School for the Gifted, Poland
A group of the world's brightest young minds sits in a brightly lit and modern class room. A slightly graying but still imposing man rolls in on a sleek wheelchair. A built-in amplification system lets him reach the whole room without having to strain his voice at all.

Jeżyna Sivana is the daughter of a mad scientist who used his immense intellect and ultra-advanced weapons to take over a large chunk of Central Asia in the chaos after the Soviet Union's collapse. Georgia was his only child and he doted on her as an insane mad scientist might, by performing an immense amount of procedures and improvements on her to make her ultra-smart like himself. After exposure to all sorts of rays, consumption of numerous chemicals and who knows how many injections they worked.
Her skin became green, her head became enlarged but her intelligence skyrocketed. Angry with her father over the tests and now a super genius she managed to escape his domain and flee to Poland where her mother lived. Regular school was impossible between the bullying and the robot kidnap squads sent by her father. She ran away from her mother and enrolled herself in the Wayne Academy. She's the resident angsty/emo kid.
She choose her alias after a long discussion with the Wayne Academy psychiatrist, taking a hurtful epithet as something empowering.

Cecilia is the youngest doctor Brazil ever had. She was never given an official license to practice medicine but by the age of 16 was running a back-alley clinic with a success rate as good as any of the surrounding hospitals. On the side she also ran a biological lab. She was working on genetically engineering spiders to create spidersilk bandages when one of the specimens escaped and bit her. It gave her the ability to shoot webs out of her hands as well the strength and resilience of a spider.
She didn't want to become a hero and tried to live her life as she had before. It all came crashing down when a gang leader came in with multiple gunshots. Cecilia secretly called the police and that led to a terrible shoot-out that left her kindly aunt Maria dead. Bruce Wayne stepped in afterwards and with his clout got her off of the practicing without a license charge and brought her to his school. The whole affair has Cecilia more driven than ever to help but she's torn between helping as a doctor, as a researcher and as a super-hero.

Formerly the head of weapons R&D at Wayne Enterprises, Reed considered himself the smartest man in the world(and he still does). He knew creating advanced weaponry was the route to creating an ordered society by concentrating power in the hands of the few. He even had equations to prove it. When Wayne decided to liquidate the weapons part of Wayne Industries, Reed refused to destroy the equipment and research and stole it. With the equipment and some scientists who believed in him, Richards created AIM, an underground arms dealing syndicate focused on fostering technocratic revolution.

One of Richard's greatest creations, MODOK(Marine Organism Designed Only for Knowing) started off life as a pod of dolphins. Richards boosted their intelligence via radiation and cybernetics a hundred fold each. Then he fused their brains together and trimmed unnecessary biological parts creating AIM's techno-organic central computer. For years it served faithfully until Richards had the idea to graft the brains of recently dead AIM scientists to MODOK and it grew smarter and smarter. Now it considers itself smarter than Richards, who considers himself the smartest man in the world. MODOK has started calling itself the Supreme Intelligence, yet it seems content to continue working for AIM and Richards. Everyone else in AIM can see that a battle for supremacy is on its way.
