Nathaniel's mother was a nun of the church of Rao. He never met his father, but the priests told him his father was an angel sent down from heaven above. Nathaniel was told his birth would bring joy to the world and he embraced the responsibility. He grew up reading the scriptures and became an accomplished man of the faith. As soon as he found his grip on magic, his real training began.

Nathaniel was personally trained by the clerics and paladins of his church. He would become a holy warrior of Rao bestowed with the quest to defend the weak and spread the his diety's good word. It only took a few years for Nathaniel to venture north to combat the undead scourge. He felt he could make the biggest difference there. He now yearns to find companions of equal talent so that he can confidently move forth and sanctify this death land!
