The tribe of halflings lives in burrows around Mal'rock. These burrow are often dug directly under the roots for for sturdiness and extra protection. The dirt walls are covered with pebbles and florescent shells. The surface is also dotted by a few buildings that need large furnaces, like workshops, labs and distilleries. Underground they would use too much air and make too much smoke.

Maloni of note

Helkul owner, renter and captain of a large ricer barge. Last used to carry a herd of goats to Mal'rock. Pellets are still there as proof.
