Background

A traditionally raised Kakita, Daisetsu grew up learning every story he could about famous duels. He always imagined himself watching these legendary events as an observer. He imagined the stillness. And then the sound of movement. Soon enough, his imaginations began to feature himself in the visions. He himself standing before dark figure, before his pure and focused move struck them down.

He threw himself into his training, learning all he could. He focused on bettering his form, on perfecting the stillness needed.

During his training, someone noted that he seemed fascinated by learning more and more about something, investigating always. As such, his name was passed to the magistrates. A polite inquiry to his family resulted in his current assignment.

At least, that's what he's been told.
