Hunters: Character Advancement
Players will have a opportunities to earn significant character rewards by completing various character objectives. Some of these rewards will include straight XP awards. Additionally, characters earn 1 XP each time the GM declares a story break.
Tier 0
Sometimes the game experience doesn't quite match with chargen expectations. Tier 0 adjustments exist specifically to deal with those sorts of tweaks and changes without leveling an XP tax for the privilege. Tier 0 adjustments are only available during a character's first couple breaks in the game.
Rather than try to list these out as per the regular tiers, these will be handled case by case, preferably via DM if players are comfortable with that.
Tier 1
- Swap out one (1) Distinction SFX for another: 1 Experience May not swap out Hinder
- Add a new Relationship: 1 Experience
Custom SFX guidelines may be found in the Prime handbook on pages 61-63 (excepting limits). Do not use the guidelines for distinctions found on pages 191-213.
Tier 2
- Add an SFX to a distinction: 2 Experience (Max three (3) SFX per distinction incl Hinder)
- Step up a Relationship to : 2 Experience
- Add a resource die to your Talisman: 2 Experience (Max five (5) per talisman)

Tier 3
- Step up a Relationship to : 3 Experience
- Step up one (1) Talisman resource die to 6 Experience
- Step up one Maneuver and step back another: 3 Experience No Maneuver may be stepped up above or stepped down below
