History:
Founded by the hero Singularity in 2018, The Network was created with the intention that superheroes could reach out to each other for assistance and support when needed. Need a mage? Find one in The Network. Need someone that can talk to pigeons? The Network could help you out. Mutual support and assistance, without the need to formally join a group, just the willingness to help others. Unfortunatley, there were few takers in the beginning and there were a lot of pointed comments about The Network's Headquarters (known as the Grange) sitting largely empty in Useless Bay.
In 2020, Danny Nikas (also known as Dr. Raptor) opened up his clinic using The Network's resources and working with Singularity started taking down crime syndicates and those dealing in dangerous technology. This humble start got a few other members to sign up, but the Network recently had its profile skyrocket as the first super hero of the United States and avatar of its ideals, Glory, resigned her foundspot on the Liberators (some would say defected) and moved to join The Network on the West Coast.
Now with a strong core team focusing as a more tradition super hero team, The Network still tries to support those that would use their powers for the common good.

A soft-spoken idealist that seems to genuinely think the world can be better. Works closely with Greenbank to rebuild after the damage from superpowered fights and improving the cities infrastructure in general (as long as it isn't putting people out of a job). Distrustful of power and those that seek it, despite being a high-level super himself.
Glory
Identity: Public (Frances Marshall)
Powers: Strength, Stamina, Flight, The Terrible Swift Sword, The Trumpet of Justice
While she was not literally born on the 4th of July, Frances Marshall was imbued with the Spirit of Freedom during the revolution and because the avatar of the new nation. And her power has grown as the country has matured and aged. She fought the British with sword in hand. During the Civil War a battle hymnn was written about her. And she was on the beach at Normandy. However, Glory has become increasingly aware of when her and her country failed and continues to fail to live up to its ideals and has decided to take a more independent path for now.
Dr. Raptor
Identity: Public (Danny Nikas)
Powers: Can turn into a Deinonychus, Jet-pack, Ray-Guns, Super-Genius
The most acerbic member of The Network, Dr. Raptor is also the one that treats people afflicted by alien maladies, hurt by people with powers, and other negatively effected by the weirdness that comes with being a center of superhuman activities. He runs a free clinic for those in need, and is the preferred medical provider for the Sidewise Medical Plan. Dr. Raptor is always on the lookout for those looking to use science for evil. No one knows why the scientist Danny Nikas thought it would be a good idea to create a formula that changes him into a dinosaur, or why he is frequently heard grumbling about "the mammals". Yes, his dinosaur form has feathers.
The Uncrushable Cockroach

Powers: Does anything a cockroach can
Just your cordial local cockroach, the young man known as The Uncrushable Cockroach in frequently seem on the streets on the Clinton Borough fighting crime and helping people in the neighborhood. Despite his...offputting...powers, he has earned the affection of his neighbors. Despite his high level of survivability, he prefers to make his home a better place.
The One Who Watches
Identity: Secret
Powers: Mysticism, Portal Creation
The newest member of The Network, The One Who Watches is a mysterious robed woman that no one seems to know much about. However, with her portals she has been able to help her allies get to crises almost instantly and get civilians out of harms way. Despite the mystery about her, she can often be found exploring her new home of Greenbank as she quietly enjoys a local park, a cup of coffee or a gallery showing for a local artist.
Plain
Identity: Secret
Powers: Unknown
The Network insists that there is a member called simply called "Plain". However no one know what he(? She? They?) look like, what their powers are, or what heroic actions they have done. Most regular people think Plain is somekind of inside joke or an identity The Network has come up with for the nameless good samaritans that sometimes help them, so that regular people aren't targetted by their enemies. Some criminal groups assume that Plain is just an idea to make them paranoid that someone is ratting them out from the inside.
