Lexicon RPG:Round-Robin

The basics

Lexicon the RPG was created by Neil Krishnaswami on the 20´by 20´room site and co-opted for a PbP by a bunch of people who will use these wiki pages to update it as it goes along.

In the collaborative world-building/writing/RPG, the players assume the roles of "a scholar, from before scholarly pursuits became professionalized (or possibly after they ceased to be). You are cranky, opinionated, prejudiced and eccentric. You are also collaborating with a number of your peers -- the other players -- on the construction of an encyclopedia describing some historical period (possibly of a fantastic world)".

This game

Four players, four topics, sixteen scholars and an entire alphabet to go through.

Topic 1: "The Scribe-Priests of the Technosophic Order and the Revivalist Scholars of the Teijani Imperium debate the Witch-King Crusade."

Topic 2: "The 11 Inexecutable Commands of Rag-111, Robot Magister of 1,111 Worlds by his own Hand - as recorded by his chroniclers."

Topic 3: “The Death-Smiths of Goth and descitations upon their import in the Unifcation Wars of Orlando Correalis.”

Topic 4: “Dissertions on Metatechnological breakthrough and sociopolitical upheaval in the wake of the Seeding of the GodPlex, yrs. 1123-1654, as dispensed by the Divisionary Metatrons of the Ministries of Cognition.”
