===The Adventure===


Cyrus contemplates how to take over the Realm of Fire.  Clark visits and asks why Cyrus wasn’t at the bachelor party.  Cyrus said he didn’t want to be involved with the activities that the Elders were participating in.  Cyrus says he has bigger plans, since he now has all the fire gems except Clark’s.  Fiona has Clark’s gem.  Cyrus says the less he sees of Fiona, the better.

There is a knock on the door.  It’s Fiona, dressed in very demure bedclothes.  She had heard that there were members of their generation planning to getting rid of the Fire Queen. She offers her assistance.  She knows where the Queen of Shadow is.  She is the most powerful of the elemental rulers.  Fi suspects that the Queen is her actual grandmother, with the stories of the unicorn designed to stop rumors.  The Queen is a child of the serpent, and a link between the abyss and the end of the universe (Kolvir).  She was cursed by the Serpent when she consummated a relationship with the man who stole her father’s eye.  She must now lie with a different man each evening until she bears another child.  She lives beyond Kolvir.  She and her armies attack shadows and absorb them.  Fiona gives Clark a ring to take him to the next shadow that she will absorb.  Clark decides to be the Shadow Queen’s next lover so he can kill her and takeover the Throne of Shadow.  He melts the ring and goes into shadow.  It has been taken over by flying monkeys. They whisk him away to prepare him for the evening.

Throughout the watery realms, Nigelli are madly working to get sweatshops set up to make reggae wear.

Clark is taken to the central courtyard where there is a sedan chair.  The Queen is there, and is ready to get down to business.  He finds an ivory dagger under the pillow (after some shadow manipulation.)

The monkeys fall on their knees before Clark when they find him with the dead Queen.  Clark summons the majordomo and asks for instruction on what needs to be done.  He is presented with full royal regalia.  He soon realizes that he is losing endurance and needs to have sex with a different woman every day (until he becomes pregnant).

Cyrus has the necklace Fiona game him.  He goes to the Pattern Room and walks the Pattern.  He is transported to the Realm of Fire.  Madea has all of the fire creatures she can summon between him and herself.  It does no good, and he gets to the palace.  He tells her to step down or he will kill her.  She offers to be his Prime Minister, and tells him she’s really turned on.  He agrees, and she says she will take vengeance on his enemies.  She stares into space and then tells him the entire city of Amber is on fire.  He uses a trump and sees Fiona wearing smoldering clothes as she tries to put out her lab.  A fire newt runs in and tells him the Amberites are coming, riding on a dragon.  

Clark trumps Cyrus.  They tell each other they are sitting on their respective thrones.  Clark gets a fireproof cloak and goes through.  LaRubio swoops forward and is told the Lord of Fire is waiting.  LaRubio changes back to human, the doors open, and they go through.  Cyrus is on the throne and Clark is standing beside it.  Madea is kneeling beside it, looking at Cyrus worshipfully.  They all identify who is ruler each of the Realms.  Calypso appears in a column of water.  

Evelyn says she has to fix the situation with the Eater of Dreams.  Clark asks if he’s not her pet.  She calls the Eater who says he will consume all Amberites and all of their thoughts, ideas, hopes and religious ideals.  He tells her she did not learn the power word before she did away with the Ruler of Air.  Clark tries to find an eldersign and locates one under Cyrus’s throne.  Cyrus gets it and sees a tyrannosaurus with rotting heads.  He keeps it, and she concentrates on everyone who is dreaming of eldersigns.  She tries to use that power to attack the Eater and disappears.  

Calypso leaves and goes to her own Throne Room.  There is a man there who introduces himself as the Traveler in Black, Messenger of the Elders.  He wants her to release the sunken city where Cthulhu sleeps.  He warns her of the destruction that is coming if she doesn’t.  She says she just wants adoration.  He tells her to come with him and he shows her people committing sacrifices and self-flagellation.  He says they could be worshiping her as well as the Dark One.  She refuses.  She strikes at him with her sword but it passes through him.  He curses her, saying she will have a thirst but will find water to be like acid.  He leaves, and her skin starts peeling back.  She changes, and goes back to the Fire Realm.  She tells about her experience.  LaRubio says he might need to go back to his realm to see what is happening.  She plans to 

Clark feels he’s going to get a lot less healthy if he doesn’t get laid soon, and he’s supposed to get married in a few hours.  

Evelyn goes to the land of dreams to get the ipecac beyond madness.  Calypso goes to walk the Pattern to remove her curse.  It works.  Clark tries the same thing, but doesn’t have the same luck.  LaRubio goes to his realm and finds an eldersign.  He also sees flying mushroom things grabbing people, decapitating them, and putting their brains in jars.  He gets the military involved and defeats them with few losses.  He makes the realm unfriendly to flying fungi.

Gwenyth gets a trump-like call that feels creepy.  It is the Serpent. He wants her to be his special friend.  In return, he will take care of all of the Elder Gods that are plaguing Amber and her cousins.  They talk and she agrees.  He wants her to come visit. He changes into a man with green skin.  She goes through and they get into a limo.  They travel the world going to various design houses, clothes-shopping.  He gives her an eldersign and an elder cookie to feed to Clark.  He teleports her back to Amber, 100 feet above the castle.  She manages to slow herself down enough so she’s not injured.

Clark goes back to the Shadow of Shadows.  He tries the Pattern there with no luck.  He gets a trump call from Flora.  She tells him he needs to come back for portraits, as he’s getting married in an hour and a half.   He goes through, and instead of changing into his tux, he writes a note to his bride apologizing that he will not be able to get married right now, and that they will get married later.

He goes to the Shadow of Shadows where he gets a trump call from Gwenyth.  She offers him the cookie (once he has milk brought).  It tastes stale and metallic but he eats it anyway.  He also finds an eldersign under his Throne.  He no is longer wanting to procreate.  (He is also pregnant, but he doesn’t know it.)  Clark and Gwenyth trump back to Amber.

Random officiates at Clark’s wedding.  At the reception, Flora gives LaRubio a deep kiss while going through the receiving line.  Calypso and Flora trade barbs about clothes.  The bride passionately kisses everyone going through the receiving line.  She especially likes Cyrus.  

There is dancing.  The bride gestures and a stripper pole appears.  She tries to drag Clark to the pole, pulling his clothes off as she goes.  He does not fully participate, but she puts on a show.  Flora passes out in LaRubio’s arms.  Gerard suggests to Clark that he needs a physical.  Random, Caine and Merlin are all trying to be he closest one to Calypso.  Evelyn dances with Random and asks to borrow the Jewel.  When he refuses as he needs to keep the Jewel, she asks if she can borrow him, too.  Calypso asks Merlin for shape shifting lessons.  Calypso gets a vision of a dragon swallowing The Traveler.  Evelyn gets a similar vision involving Fluffy.  Gwenyth explains that the Serpent has taken care of them.  Evelyn dances with Martin, and they plan a date for later.

Cyrus gets a call from Madea.  She says it’s dark and she’s all alone. Cyrus leaves.  LaRubio talks to Random.
